Rod ends requiring maintenance
00016734_a
The rod ends requiring maintenance are spherical plain bearings inserted in a steel housing with threaded rod inside or outside, the contact surfaces being steel/steel or bronze/steel. The housing and rod are delivered galvanized as a protection measure against corrosion. They can be delivered open, with holes for lubricating the contact surfaces, or sealed with NBR rubber lips. The rod ends carry radial loads in the direction of traction or compression and can transmit movements or forces at a low to medium swivel angle.
